How we verify visa rules

Visa rules change often, and a wrong answer can cost a traveller a flight. This page explains exactly how our data is made and how sure we are of it.

Updated:

Evidence before conclusions

Tier 1: the destination’s authority or official portal. Tier 2: its missions. Tier 3: another government, used for its own nationals where applicable. Tier 4: Timatic-based airline information. Tier 5: reporting of official announcements. Agencies, forums and search-optimised summaries do not establish a rule.

High confidence requires Tier 1 evidence naming the passport and agreement from Tier 2–3. Medium includes one Tier 2 source, Tier 3 for its own nationals, or a general Tier 1 rule without a contradiction. A search excerpt cannot exceed medium. Conflicting or Tier 4–5-only evidence is low.

On a conflict we show the stricter route, higher supported fee and shorter supported stay, label the conflict, and ask the reader to confirm with the mission or airline. A review is not a guarantee of admission.

Minimum facts and review dates

Published public guides remain indexable. Missing evidence, unclear fee or stay scope, unsupported conditions, unresolved conflicts and overdue reviews are labelled for readers and added to the editorial queue. An indexing setting does not certify a visa rule.

The editorial review intervals are 14 days for fees and conditions, 30 days for eligibility, stay and entry facts, 60 days for mission contacts, and 180 days for passport procedures. These are review deadlines, not promises that governments will leave rules unchanged. An earlier explicit deadline wins.

Each claim uses dates from its own linked sources. Opening a mission contact page does not refresh visa fees. The review queue identifies what is due without removing published guides from search.

Amounts and sources

A total is shown only when all mandatory components are known. A conversion needs a rate, a source and a conversion date. Otherwise the official currency is retained without an invented converted amount.

How to report a correction

Use the report control on the affected page when available, or contact@evisaguides.com. Include the page, the disputed fact and an official source. Do not include document numbers or travel documents. The email link opens your email app; it is not an acknowledgement of receipt.

When the report service is enabled, a receipt is shown only after the record is saved. Mail forwarding is a separate step. No response time or monitored-mailbox verification is currently published.

A correction must be checked for passport, product and effective date, reflected in both languages, and recorded in Updates when it changes a published fact. A source recheck alone is not a rule change.
