- Cash declaration
- Declare the full combined cash amount when its value exceeds UZS 100000000. A nonresident taking out more must document the unused amount previously declared on arrival.
- Duty-free allowance
- Personal noncommercial goods: up to USD 1000 by air, USD 500 by rail or river, USD 300 by road or on foot. Allowances depend on time spent abroad and crossing frequency. Alcohol: 2 litres; tobacco: 200 cigarettes or 5 cigars or 100 g, for travellers aged 21 or over. Perfume: 3 items, no more than 300 ml in total.
- Medicines
- Carry medicines with a prescription and medical documents stating the patient and daily dose. Declare controlled medicines. Confirm the medicine-specific category and permitted quantity before travel; the tourism guide publishes separate limits for different categories.
- Registration after arrival
- Register accommodation within 3 calendar days and keep the confirmation. Hotels register guests; a private host registers the stay. Register again for another city when staying over 3 days. Frequently asked questions
How much is the Uzbekistan visa for Egyptians?
The electronic visa costs USD 20 for one entry, USD 35 for two entries or USD 50 for multiple entries. Each permits a stay up to 30 days within the visa validity.
Does UAE residence exempt me from a visa?
It can permit 30 days with the original national passport valid at least 180 days and the original UAE residence visa valid at least 90 days. Check other types of travel document with the consulate.
Can Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman citizens stay only 10 days?
The newer decree permits up to 30 days from 1 June 2025. The older 10-day information remains on some pages and is superseded.
Do Saudis and Jordanians need a tourist visa?
Both have a 30-day exemption in the current rules. The Saudi rule applies from 15 March 2024. Jordan is named in the current legal exemption annex. Local registration remains necessary.
How long does the electronic application take?
The portal states 3 working days, excluding weekends and holidays. Apply at least 3 working days before travel and wait for the approved document before relying on it.
Can I show the electronic visa on my phone?
Carry a printout. The portal allows electronic display, but the Doha embassy instructs applicants to print it. Sources differ; confirm with the embassy or your airline.
Do I need a Tashkent transit visa?
An international airside transfer of up to 24 hours can be visa-free with confirmed onward travel and the destination-entry documents. Stay in the designated transit area. A separate 5-day entry scheme applies to a defined nationality list and itinerary.
Does a child need a separate visa?
A child under 16 with a separate biometric document and legal representative can use the child exemption for the representative’s visa period, up to 90 days. Confirm the case if the adult travels without a visa or the child turns 16 during the stay.
Who registers my stay after arrival?
Hotels register guests; a private host registers a private stay. Keep the confirmation. Use the earlier 3-calendar-day deadline because sources differ on counting working days. Sources differ; confirm with the embassy or your airline.
Can I pay with someone else’s card?
Yes. The portal allows a cardholder other than the applicant and explicitly names Visa. The application fee is nonrefundable.
