What can change this answer

Holding another visa or a residence permit, your age or your port of entry can open a different route.

These routes are conditional. Every stated requirement must be met; selecting a document does not confirm eligibility.

Arrange a local guarantor and obtain approval before departure.

How to apply, step by step

Before you travel

Health notices

The government page requires a negative PCR test within 72 hours before entry for arrivals from China, effective 2023-01-15. A later representation letter says general testing ended. Confirm the applicable requirement before departure. Sources differ; confirm with the embassy or your airline.

Check again before travel; we will review this on 6 November 2026.
