Health notices
An MOI notice dated 2026-05-20 applied an initial 30-day entry measure to arrivals from DR Congo and Uganda, except Jordanian citizens. The carrier still lists a measure for presence or transit in DR Congo within 21 days, until further notice. Current continuation for Uganda and an official end date were not confirmed.

- Declare cash and bearer negotiable instruments exceeding JOD 10000 or equivalent on entry or exit.
- Duty-free allowance
- Personal non-commercial gifts up to JOD 200 may qualify, excluding frequent travellers. The current customs guide gives a 50% duty-and-tax exemption on the first cigarette carton bought at the border duty-free shop; confirm other allowances.
- Medicines
- The JFDA allows personal medicines for up to 3 months with a prescription and medical report. Separate permission for medicines subject to additional controls was not confirmed.
- Overstaying
- JOD 3 for each day beyond the admitted stay. Obtain an extension before the admission period expires.
- Registration after arrival
- For stays over 14 days, confirm registration with police or Residency and Borders within 13 days as the stricter deadline. Tourist exemptions differ between sources. Sources differ; confirm with the embassy or your airline.
- Leaving the country
- Settle any overstay charge and use the required passport; child exit consent may apply.
