Frequently asked questions
How much is the Turkish electronic visa for Egyptians?
A current Egyptian fee was not confirmed without registering and starting an application. The total includes nationality-specific visa charges and mandatory portal insurance. Do not use the historical 2014 fee table as a current quote.
Can a Gulf resident obtain the Turkish electronic visa?
GCC residence alone is not among the listed qualifying supporting documents. Eligibility depends on the passport and sometimes age or a valid US, UK, Irish or Schengen visa or residence.
Do Iraqis under 15 need a visa?
Ordinary Iraqi passport holders under 15 or over 50 have a tourism exemption for up to 90 days in any 180. Ages 15–50 require a visa; a qualifying supporting document can enable the electronic route.
Do Egyptian children have a visa exemption?
The published age facility for Egyptians under 15 or over 45 is an electronic visa without an additional supporting visa or residence, not a general visa exemption.
Can I show the electronic visa on my phone?
Carry a printed copy. The FAQ accepts a phone copy, but the Turkish-language MFA page requires a printout. Sources differ; confirm with the embassy or your airline.
Do I need an Istanbul airport transit visa?
Indian and Nepalese passport holders travelling via Istanbul Airport to Mexico, Panama, Colombia or Venezuela need the specified free printed electronic airport transit visa. Leaving airside requires the ordinary entry route. Other itineraries need an airline check.
Must my supporting visa have been used before?
The FAQ accepts used or unused single-entry supporting visas if their date validity covers arrival. Electronic visas from other countries do not qualify. Meet the passport-specific conditions as well.
Can I pay using someone else’s card?
Yes. The FAQ says the card need not be in the applicant’s name and lists Mastercard, Visa or UnionPay with international payments and 3D Secure.
When should I apply?
The electronic FAQ recommends at least 48 hours before departure. The MFA recommends applying for a consular visa at least 1 month ahead. These are application recommendations, not guaranteed processing times.
How long can a Bahraini tourist stay?
Keep the visit within 30 days in any 180 pending confirmation. The live checker gives 30 while the MFA list gives 90. Sources differ; confirm with the embassy or your airline.
