Airside transit: meaning
Connecting between flights without passing through immigration. Leaving the transit area can trigger different entry requirements.
Will my connection stay inside the transit area?
- Ask the airline whether your bags are checked through and whether the transfer requires immigration or a change of airport.
- Check transit requirements for your passport, airport and connection. Do not infer an exemption from the word “transit” on a ticket.
- If you must enter the country, review the entry route as well as the connection arrangements before booking.
